Job Title : Junior DevOps Engineer
Job Type : Full Time
Location : Kochi
Experience : Fresher – 1 Year

Role and Responsibility :

1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Learn to write and maintain infrastructure code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components.
2. Version Control: Gain proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) for code and configuration management.
3. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab etc.. for automating software builds, testing, and deployments.
4. Automation: Develop basic automation scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to streamline manual processes and tasks, and gradually improve scripting skills over time.
5. Monitoring and Logging: Get familiar with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios,Icinga2, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and learn to set up basic monitoring and logging for applications and infrastructure.
6. Containerization: Learn about container technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Understand the principles of containerization and how to create, manage, and deploy containers.
7. Cloud Services: Gain exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and assist in deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to facilitate communication and collaboration, ensuring that development and operations are aligned on DevOps practices.
9. Security: Follow best practices for security and assist in implementing security measures within the DevOps process, such as secure coding, access controls, and vulnerability scanning.
10. Documentation: Maintain clear and organized documentation of processes, procedures, and configurations.
11. Troubleshooting: Assist in identifying and resolving issues related to software, infrastructure, and deployments

Education and Skills :

1. Basic knowledge of programming and scripting languages.
2. Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
5. A strong desire to work in a collaborative and fast-paced DevOps environment.
6. Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
7. Exposure to container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
8. Understanding of software development principles and agile methodologies.
9. Knowledge of source code management, continuous integration, and continuous deployment best practices.
