Required Qualifications Skills:-

1. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent work experience.
2. Strong analytic, problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills
3. 0-2 years of development expertise in Core Java, J2EE, Webservices, Spring, and Hibernate.
4. Good Knowledge in Oracle and SQL from handling connections and interacting with database layer.
5. Basic knowledge of object-oriented design and development (OOA/OOD) and the J2EE framework.
6. Use of code repository tools like SVN, GIT.
7. Good in Analytical Skill
8. Hands on experience in Tomcat and WebLogic/WebSphere servers is good to have.
9. Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:-

1. Experience working with US Clients and Business partners.
2. Experience supporting applications within the Financial Services industry (preferably in brokerage and clearing operations).
3. Experience in handling automated code deployments through GIT or other version control tools

Job Description:-

1. The Process Trainee – Application Development in Java technology, is responsible for development, maintenance support of applications involving predominately back-end engineering and service development process in the Brokerage Data Services team at Ameriprise.
2. The individual should be able to collaborate with technology cross-commits and business teams to support the development implementation by adhering to required quality standards.
3. The individual should be able to manage and prioritize work requests for enhancements setting accurate expectations with technology and business partners to implement the change at mutually agreed upon milestones and timelines.

1. The individual should be prepared to work in a support role as well to maintain the BAU process for the assets governed by the team. The individual should be able to enforce standards and recommendations for achieving maximum performance and efficiency of the service ecosystem.
2. The web service engineering team for Brokerage supports several key client and advisor facing applications at Ameriprise. This position provides an exciting opportunity for the individual to learn, evolve and grow into an end-to-end platform. Here, they will be part of an inclusive, collaborative culture that rewards them for your contributions.

Responsibilities:-

1. Code in Java technology stack to meet business specifications.
2. Collaborate with cross-commit teams for implementation of deliverables in all environments.
3. Maintain knowledge of evolving industry trends, practices, techniques and standards in technology and financial service domains.
4. Collaborate with the cross-functional team in Minneapolis to understand and prioritize daily tasks for self-execution.
5. Work with the assigned QA team to manage test plan risks through development phases to implementation, ensure zero defects are introduced into the production environment.
6. Ensure required documentation for projects and/or enhancements are created and updated.
7. Conduct and participate in Code and design Reviews, support and maintain existing code/application.
8. Knowledge on AGILE methodology
9. Be a team player
