I am Pooja Joshi residing in one of the gated communities on City Hill road. This is to bring to your notice regarding the indiscriminate cutting down of trees on the main road stretching to a length of about 32km.
Trees have been cut to broaden the road to reduce traffic, but the cost of cutting down trees is certainly not acceptable. We need to find an alternative solution.
It is a known fact that the world is facing a serious situation of Global warming. Moreover, trees help in balancing the ecosystem and hold rainwater reducing the chances of floods.
We should stand together and encourage the planting of more trees rather than cutting them down.
I request you to take up this issue with the concerned authorities and take immediate measures.
