Open manholes have been an important issue to address. There are in total of three open manholes on the main road leading to my locality which has lately been causing a lot of accidents at night. Due to heavy rain and darkness, people and animals cannot spot the open manholes, resulting in accidents. These manholes need to be closed and maintained properly. 

I would be very grateful to you if you could issue an article addressing this topic in the columns of your esteemed newspaper so that the attention of the municipal commissioner could be brought to this issue.
