Atmanirbhar Bharat is a campaign which clearly means self dependent India was launched by the government of India on 13th May 2020. Vision of this campaign was to make India a self dependent country by making it a manufacturing hub. To achieve this vision the government had announced a package of twenty lakh crore. This campaign was launched to provide liquidity and to reduce the crisis of cash shortage by the facility of direct cash transfer. This resulted in gdp growth of the country upto nearly about 22% in first quarter of fiscal year 2021-2022. If atmanirbhar bharat is successful then it will result in generation of employment and self employment. A lot of new small and mid cap Indian companies will get established in different part of the country. But due to unavailability of good transportation system it seems that the target of self dependent India will be a little bit tough task.
On 13th May 2020 Modi government of India announced that atmanirbhar campaign will launched to enhance the production of goods in India by small and mid cap companies. After that it was seen that finance minister Shri Nirmala Sitaraman announced a twenty lakh crore package for survival of small and mid cap companies and for establishment of new companies. It resulted in growth of many companies due to which a lot of new job opportunities got created in organised and unorganised sectors which resulted in gdp growth of about 22% in fiscal year 2021-2022. One more result of this atmanirbhar bharat is also seen that the foreign exchange reserve got increased tremendously and touched a new height of 640 billion US dollar this is only because the dependency on the other countries got decreased and many products get manufactured in India itself. But unfortunately it is seen that due to less attention of people towards establishment of new companies results in slow growth of economy and improper utilization of the fund announced by the government of India. As it is well known that the transportation system in India is not so good. This transportation problem results in increasing the cost of products due to a lot of transportation charges. Many times goods expired because of a lot of time taken by transportation. Many other problems also act as obstacles in the establishment of new companies like a lot of delays in paper work, strict labour law and many more. Less availability of skilled labour is one of the main reasons for not growth of small and mid cap companies in India as these companies have very less budget so it seems to be tough for these companies to hire high paid skillful labour. If all the obstacles related to establishment of a new company will be removed then it will reduce the effort businessman to establish a new company. This will result in tremendous GDP growth and a lot of new job opportunities will be created to fulfill the requirement of these new companies.
Awareness should be spread more and more in higher secondary schools and in colleges towards entrepreneurship. Government should create more environments for the development of small and mid cap companies. Transportation system should be improved by making it faster and cheaper so that hassle free transportation of goods can be done. Education policy should be such that people should get skilled in their education period so that it will be an easy task to get and create new job opportunities.
